The Guitar Circle's last meeting of 2013 is this Saturday at Chapman, it's a Featured Artist Recital presenting the Commonwealth Trio, an unusual ensemble of highly talented and superbly trained musicians Make an early new years' resolution to come renew your OCGC membership and hear this wonderful group - there's a link to their program on the schedule page

There are two other events this week - on Friday at lunchtime Kate Lewis and Greg Newton will offer a free performance at LA Valley College in Valley Glen, and on Saturday evening "Classical Revolution:LA" are presenting two highly regarded duos in Silverlake, the Duo del Sol (violin/guitar) and the Malkin-Trybek Duo (voice/guitar)

It's been several months since I last mentioned "All Strings Considered", Scott Wolff's wonderful podcast series Since Episode 15 at that time, which featured the music and thought of the amazing Andrew York, Scott has been busily creating new episodes featuring the Eden-Stell Guitar Duo, 2007 GFA winner Marcin Dylla, interviews and music from the 2013 GFA meeting in Louisville, scholar and guitarist/lutenist John Schneiderman, classical and fingerstyle star Michael Chapdelaine, the renown Cavatina Duo (flute/guitar) and the 2012 GFA winner Colin Davin (he's on the most recently posted Episode 24) You can listen to and download any of these podcasts at: http://www scottwolfguitar com/podcast html
