Another busy week with the first event on Monday morning, a Master Class by Paul Galbraith in El Cajon, free to auditors, it's always a delight and an education to listen to Galbraith either perform or teach Then there's a free recital in LA on Monday evening by the Italian Vito Nicola Paradiso, and another on Tuesday in Pasadena featuring the wonderful Martha Masters appearing with the fingerstyle virtuoso Richard Smith, it's free but reservations are required And there are two events on Saturday evening when the Los Angeles Guitar Duo share a bill with Olivia Chiang for a recital in a private home in Altadena (also free but with required reservations), and the Schneiderman/Yamaya guitar duo perform a program of nineteenth & nineteenth-century music for plucked strings at UC Irvine Then on Sunday afternoon Peter Yates (guitar) and Alexandra Grabarchuk (voice and toy piano) offer a performance of Yates' new song cycle in an unusual venue, the amphitheater in UCLA's botanical garden
