There are two free events this Wednesday at lunchtime as Ines Thome appears in the Music at Noon series at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church and Lee Zimmer performs at Cypress College, and a third that evening when the Ventura County Classical Guitar Society holds its monthly meeting in Camarillo, this one featuring the wonderful Orange County Guitar Orchestra under the direction of David Grimes On Friday evening the incomparable Pepe Romero performs in Rancho Mirage (a bit far afield for us OC-ites but definitely worth the drive) and on Saturday the American Guitar Society holds its monthly meeting in Valley Glen Also on Saturday evening we have a not-so-frequent opportunity to hear the always stellar LA Guitar Quartet as they offer a recital at Whittier College
And if you haven't recently checked out Scott Wolf's "All Strings Considered" site (http://www scottwolfguitar com/podcast html) there are new podcasts posted since I last mentioned it, the two most recent featuring discussions with Adam Levin and Alexander Dunn (and older ones with Irina Kulikova, Rovshan Mamedkuliev and many other fascinating personalities)
