This Saturday is the Orange County Guitar Circle's monthly meeting at Chapman, featuring the young Italian virtuoso Andrea De Vitis - for all of you who left last month's amazing recital feeling a need for more, this is your chance, don't miss it!

It's a very busy week otherwise with mostly free events, Chris Parkening's students at Pepperdine are offering a concert in Malibu on Tuesday evening and another on Friday afternoon, the UCI classical guitar program presents a recital of solo and chamber pieces in the open air at noon on Wednesday, Andrea De Vitis gives a Master Class at Cal Sta Fullerton that afternoon, and Alex Park performs in his Master's recital at Fullerton that evening And lastly on Sunday afternoon (unfortunately not free) the incomparable Scott Tennant appears at El Molino Viejo in San Marino

Two other comments, first a heads-up for the Loyola Marymount Guitar Festival which will be held the weekend after next Second, the Free Music page on our website has been updated with several new offerings, a couple of arrangements of Granados and Ponce by James Chiang and Jerry Willard's arrangement of de Falla's "The Miller's Dance" for solo guitar, an arrangement by Scott Morris of Pachelbel's "Canon in D" for guitar quartet, and an arrangement of a short Renaissance lute piece by David Grimes which first appeared in the OCGC's "Rosette" some forty five years ago Check it out!
