Another busy week begins at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa on Thursday with an afternoon Master Class by David Grimes followed by an evening concert by Antonyi Kakamakov That same evening the LA Guitar Quartet team up with Phil Proctor to offer their wonderful music/reading interpretation of Don Quixote - I'm not sure if it's still possible to make a reservation, but it should be memorable On Friday the two-day Pacific Guitar Festival and Competition begins in Monrovia with a concert, and on Saturday David Isaacs and Robert Johnson offer a guitar/piano recital for the Long Beach Classical Guitar Society meeting and John Schneiderman and colleagues present an evening of 19th century music on period instruments at UCI Then on Sunday afternoon, last year's winners of the Pacific Guitar Festival play again at The Fret House in Covina, and that evening the USC Thornton Guitar Orchestra & Ensembles perform at the LA County Museum or Art with a web simulcast
