Three free events on this week's schedule, with Michael Nigro and his Vanguard University guitar ensemble performing at the Ventura Classical Guitar Society's meeting in Camarillo on Wednesday, Charles Suovanen offering a noontime recital at LA City College on Thursday, and Jason Yoshida performing on lute and baroque guitar at noon on Friday in Claremont That same evening Steve Thachuk and Sarah Wass offer a guitar/flute recital at Cal State Northridge And a heads up for Paul Galbraith's appearance on Tuesday evening the following week at SOKA University in Aliso Viejo; if you've never had a chance to hear this amazing musician, do it now, and he's playing in a fairly new venue that by all reports is terrific
