We have two free events this week, Michael Nigro offers a noontime recital on Wednesday at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church and Richard Dawson appears at the Santa Monica Public Library on Saturday afternoon That evening Eva Beneke will perform her transcription of Bach's second violin partita with vocalists (including the famous Chaconne) It's in a small venue in Brentwood but you can try for tickets, I heard her last weekend in her final DMA recital at USC in a performance that was very beautiful and highly enlightening Also on Saturday evening we have another opportunity to hear Rodrigo's Concerto de Aranjuez, this one in Oxnard with Carlos Gonzales and the Ventura College Symphony Orchestra
