On Saturday at Chapman is the OCGC's monthly meeting, this one is a Showcase Recital featuring our wonderfully talented members Come to hear some great playing, mingle with your fellow musicians and renew your membership (in case it's not current) The program is full, but there's still time reserve a slot to play at our next Showcase on January 19th

The OCGC meeting is only one event in a busy week, the newly re-instituted Guitar Nights free concert series continues on Tuesday evening in Pasadena with a mix of jazz, flamenco and classical, including a guitar/clarinet duo, and on Wednesday the lovely Malkin-Trybek voice/guitar duo perform in the Music@Mimoda concert series in West Hollywood (for those of you who missed them last Saturday) There are two more events on Saturday evening, with the highly acclaimed husband-wife Duo Klavitarre (guitar/piano) performing at LA Valley College in Valley Glen, and the excellent Orange County Guitar Orchestra directed by David Grimes presenting a free concert at Mt San Antonio College in Walnut Then on Sunday afternoon the stratospheric Scott Tennant is offering a Master Class for students of the Pasadena Conservatory of Music (free to auditors), and that evening the young Slovenian star Mak Grgic performs at USC
