This note is a bit earlier than usual, partly because I neglected to mention John Schneiderman's recital at Santa Ana's Bowers Museum on Sunday (it's actually next week that has no events scheduled). But I also wanted to give you a heads-up about the "La Guitarra California Festival" in San Luis Obispo the weekend after Labor Day, this is one of the most enjoyable guitar fests around with an absolutely stellar list of performers and many wonderful events.
