The Orange County Guitar Circle's monthly meeting at Chapman this Saturday will feature the brilliant Anton Baranov, 2013 winner of the GFA competition on his year-long victory tour Come and hear the artistry of this young but already renown international star (and ensure your OCGC membership is up to date)

On Friday the International Guitar Night takes place in Aliso Viejo where you'll have an opportunity to hear an eclectic foursome of guitarists, a group which includes Andrew York, a founding member of the LAGQ Then a couple of events featuring some unusual plucked instruments, with master harp guitarist John Doan appearing on Saturday at LA Valley College, and Jack Sanders (baroque & classical guitar), Jason Yoshida (theorbo & baroque lute) and Joti Rockwell (mandolin) performing free at Pomona College in Claremont on Sunday afternoon And next Monday SoloDuo will appear at USC, also free but with reservations required - I haven't yet heard the duo, but some of you may remember Lorenzo Micheli's astonishing performance on his GFA winner's tour some years ago ]
