The Mexican star Alfonso Moreno on tour with the State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico and will appear in the area twice this week, performing Ponce's "Concierto del Sur" in Costa Mesa on Thursday evening, and Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" in Northridge on Friday Also on Thursday Peter Yates offers an evening of guitar with voice and strings at UCLA, and on Friday at lunchtime Buzz Gravelle appears in a free faculty recital at Cal Poly Pomona Then on Saturday evening we have an unusual opportunity to hear the always brilliant Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, also at Cal State Northridge's Valley Performing Arts Center
