Just one event this Saturday evening at the Fret House in Covina, a recital featuring our own Olivia Chiang and and the Mexican virtuoso Rafael Elizondo The Fret House offers weekly guitar concerts throughout the year covering a wide range of genres, this is one of their occasional classical offerings

Also, two regional guitar ensembles are currently looking to recruit more members, one is the Irvine Valley College Guitar Ensemble under the direction of John Schneiderman, they meet Tuesday nights at Beckman High School and you can get more information by contacting John at jhmschneiderman@yahoo com The second is David Adele's Santa Ana College Guitar Ensemble which is celebrating its nineteenth year of existence this year, the group meets at SAC on Saturdays at lunchtime and you can contact David at davidsadele@gmail com Guitar ensembles are a wonderful way to improve your performing and reading skills and to meet other guitar aficionados, if you've already participated in them then you know this, if not this is your chance to become involved
