This Saturday is the Orange County Guitar Circle's monthly meeting at Chapman, a Members' Showcase - come to hear and mingle with your fellow members, and to make sure your membership is up to date The program is full, but you can reserve a slot to perform at our next Showcase on January 16th by contacting our Showcase Director James Chiang

There are two events on Thursday evening, when Olivia Chiang performs the Adagio from Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" as guest soloist with the Walnut High Symphony Orchestra in Walnut, and John Schneiderman is the soloist (on several instruments) with the Hutchins Consort on the UC Irvine campus - John and the Consort will repeat their program on Friday evening in Encinitas and on Sunday afternoon in LA

On Friday afternoon in Malibu you can enjoy a free recital by students in Christopher Parkening's Pepperdine University classical guitar program, and on Sunday afternoon Martha Masters offers a Master Class in Pasadena, free to auditors El Cajon (near San Diego) is a bit out of our natural range, but the opportunity to hear the amazing Paul Galbraith in recital with his Brahms Guitar on Sunday evening makes it worth including on our list, especially since it's free (with reservations required) - and he's offering a Master Class on Monday Morning, also free to auditors
