And our Showcase is in the midst of an exceedingly busy week beginning with two free events, the first tonight (Tuesday), a concert of Flamenco and classical at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music, and the second on Wednesday when Taro Wayama and David Lee Ruest offer a noontime guitar/violin recital at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church On Friday begins the three-day 12th Annual LMU Guitar Festival at Loyola Marymount, a feast of luthier and vendor fairs, workshops and master classes, and a series of stellar recitals which are individually listed on our schedule covering all three days On Saturday afternoon the violin/guitar duo of YuEun Kim and Ines Thomé offer a free performance in Torrance, and they'll appear again on Sunday afternoon in Beverly Hills as part of the Music in the Mansion series And also on Sunday afternoon Doug Forbes and Mark Achuff offer a free double-bass/guitar duo recital (an unusual combo) as part of the Bach in the Subways musical marathon (an unusual event) at Union Station
