Our four events on this week's calendar begin Friday evening with a free Student Guitar Solo Recital at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music On Saturday evening Matt Peters performs at LA Valley College in Valley Glen, and Martha Masters offers a free Faculty Recital at Loyola Marymount Then on Sunday afternoon Brian Cross and Jesus Palaminos appear in a duo guitar recital at the Newport Beach Public Library, also free

And remember that the OC Classical Guitar Festival and Competition will be held at Chapman University on March 2-3, that's just a couple of weeks away There will be recitals by the stellar Manuel Barruecos and by GFA winner Tengyue Zhang, concerts by a number of invited ensembles, semi-final and final rounds of the Adult and Youth divisions of the competition, lectures, a Vendor Fair and more You can find details and registration forms on our web site at http://www ocgc org
