The OC Guitar Circle's monthly meeting, a Member's Showcase, will be held this Saturday at Chapman University. The program is full, but any interested member should plan on signing up for one of next season's showcases. This Wednesday evening the Ventura County Guitar Society's holds its monthly meeting in Camarillo, free as always, and featuring Michael Nigro's guitar ensemble. There's another free recital in Claremont on Thursday when the renown Eliot Fisk accompanies soprano Anne Harley in a song series, and on Friday USC master's student Joshua Moore will perform at Sierra Madre Music (reservations are required for this small venue). Just three events on this week's schedule: the Ensemble Fret (mandolin/guitar/bowed guitar) offer a free performance on Wednesday evening at Cal State Long Beach, the three-day Tenth Annual LMU Guitar Festival begins on Friday, and on Saturday Afternoon Greg Newton will perform Castelnuevo-Tedesco's "Romancero Gitano" with the Claremont Chorale at Pomona College. The Orange County Guitar Circle's monthly meeting is this Saturday evening - come to Chapman University to meet and mingle with your fellow members and enjoy their music.
