The first of two free events this week will be the Pasadena Conservatory of Music's "Guitar Nights" on Tuesday evening, featuring groups and soloists including the Los Angeles Youth Guitar Orchestra (LAYGO). Then on Wednesday evening the Artisan Guitar Ensemble offer a recital at the Santa Monica Public Library. Seems like peak season - on Wednesday John Schneiderman's UCI Guitar Ensemble offer a free noontime concert, and on Thursday evening John will be performing on baroque lute as guest soloist with the LA Chamber Orchestra at the Coburn School in LA, and USC will present their free Classical Guitar Department Recital. Another busy week beginning with two events on Wednesday evening, the first of which is David Adele's Santa Ana College Guitar Ensemble who offer a free recital at Mt. SAC in Walnut, including the Campanella Guitar Quartet - the ensemble perform again on Saturday in Santa Ana, and the quartet offer their own recital in Temecula on Sunday afternoon.
